President
Karl Parrington is a respected leader within the Calgary home building industry.
Prior to joining Todays Communities in 2006, Karl spent over 16 years in sales and
construction management. His experience spans entry level to estate single family homes,
to multi-family condominium developments from starter to luxury. This diversity has
provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the many facets of homebuilding and
given him a unique perspective on leadership.
Karl's integrity, his steadfast work ethic, his no-nonsense business acumen and his ability

Jim Kearns
Development Manager

Jim Kearns has over 15 years experience involving City of Calgary and area land-base,
municipal politics and real estate issues. Jim is known for his ability to negotiate
and secure the purchase of development sites and obtain approvals and development permits.
With trust, empathy and constructive consensus building, Jim has established an impressive
track record, achieving win/win solutions for both developers and community.

Mike Meier
Construction Manager
Mike Meier has over 20 years of experience in commercial and residential construction.
With Todays Communities, he works to bring further efficiency to the building process
and development systems, while ensuring maximum performance through teamwork. Mike
worked his way up from apprentice to journeyman carpenter to construction supervision
and management. He also has a background in Information Technology.

Senior Estimator
Vern Page is a graduate of the Civil Engineering Technology Program from the Southern
Alberta Institute of Technology. For the past ten years, he has been involved in the
engineering, testing, design and production segments of the industry. He is also trained
and experienced in the management of safety programs and integrated information systems.

Erin Kerr focuses on expediting on-site and off-site activities as well as improving
communication on all levels of the construction process. Erin's background in events
